Follow Up : Public Transportation Drivers Strike goes

It turned out that the news was true , yesterday there was an actual Public transportation buses drivers strike in Cairo. The news of the strike strangely made it to the official press , of course according to these governmental speakers the governor of Cairo has saved the day and told the angry drivers that he will do whatever they want !!!??
The strike is on till the end of the week , which is Thursday normally in Egypt. Today many people I know complained from traffic. Those who waited for public transportation buses had to wait for some time , considerable time.
The demands of the drivers as I hinted before are too simple as usual but what they are doing is to big and it shows that Strike Culture is making its way in Egypt.
More to come
Update#1
Today the strike began to appear to more and more people.
The underground stations are too crowded
The drivers are threatening to start a hunger strike if their demands are not met.

Updates#2:
  • BY all means the streets were more than terrible in Egypt , I should hint  out after 2 days Ramadan will begin and tomorrow is Thursday and thus it is something normal to have this traffic jams but today was completely madness because of the public transportation sector drivers.
  • You could rarely see a single bus in the street today.
  • The strike included 10 garages serving most Cairo today
  • The Underground was full.
  • Youm 7 claims that the drivers demanded that Gamal Mubarak to come and to hear their problems , of course according to eye witnesses this did not happen plus if it did ,it would impossible ; besides he would be scared to go in such situation to those angry drivers , he is not currently in Egypt , he is in the United States with his dad "yes he is with him"
  • MENA is saying that the strike is over and that Nazif has accepted the demands of the angry drivers , of course he has no choice expect to accept after all in the 48 hours the Capital was paralyzed and he can't use the force to end the strike because all the eyes are on Cairo now !!
  • I am more than happy to know that the strike succeeded , still I fear on those who called and led the strike because I am sure that they may not spend Ramadan with their families.
