Gas Crisis In A Country That Exports Gas

Do you remember the bread crisis last year ?? Do you remember how the bread queues turned in to battle zones and the president saved the day by ordering the army to open its bakeries for the civilians ??

This was so 2009 , now in 2010 we have a new crisis : Propane crisis !!

Propane tanks are still used by the working class in Egypt especially in the areas where there is no gas access .The propane tanks have become a rare commodity and people are fighting over these tanks in front of its outlets violently. This happens in the country where gas is exported to Israel for pennies !!

I believe before exporting our gas to any country in the world ,our citizens should enjoy this non-renewable source of energy as a product of their country. Gas access is from the infrastructure that every year the president , the prime minister, the NDP representatives claim that all Egyptians will have for the past 28 years !!

Going back to the crisis itself , I wonder if this is a pseudo crisis made by the regime to make people busy in something , the CAN 2010 is over and we won so we need another thing !! This happened last year during the bread crisis and as I said before this is a Nasserite legacy that is revived perfectly by Mubarak's regime. We had similar crises in 1960s from bread to matchboxes to oil ….etc !!

The best thing in this crisis that people again are speaking about how the regime is wasting our gas in Israel.
